Four schoolchildren have been rushed to hospital after taking illegal drugs at a beauty spot in Liverpool. The teenagers are being treated at Alder Hey Children's Hospital after a boy and girl fell ill from the substances they took at Calderstones Park.

Merseryside Police have issued a warning after the incident and officers are now working with the families of each of the children who aged 15 and 16, Liverpool Echo reports.

Two boys, who reportedly suffered no symptoms, have since been released from hospital but a teenage boy and a 15-year-old girl are still being treated.
