Esteban Ocon has finally revealed his next move in F1! The 27-year-old French Formula 1 racecar driver revealed earlier this year that was leaving his current team, BWT Alpine F1 Team, at the end of the 2024 season, but had yet to announce if he was signed to another team yet. “News will be announced in due course,” he said at the time, and now we know that he has joined the MoneyGram Haas F1 Team! Keep reading to find out more… “Very proud to announce I will be joining @haasf1team in 2025 on a multi-year deal,” Esteban shared on Instagram on Thursday (July 25). “I am thrilled to embark on this new chapter in my F1 career and join an ambitious racing team whose spirit, work ethic, and undeniable upward trajectory has really impressed me.

I’d like to thank Gene and Ayao for our honest and fruitful discussions these last few months. Haas F1 Team has big plans and clear targets for the future, and I am looking forward to reuniting with Ayao (my first-ever F1 race engineer!), as well as working with everyone in Kannapolis, Banbury, and Maranello.” The driver reiterated that his current focus is still with Alpine, saying, “For now, my focus and energy is still fully dedicated to @alpinef1team.

We’ve got 11 races to go this year and I am more motivated than ever to end my five-year collaboration with the team on a high.” Esteban joined Renault in 2020 and continued with team through it’s transition to Alpine in 2021, and has remained with the team since then.

The French driver’s move to Haas comes nearly a month after the team signed F2 driver Oliver Bearman in a multi-year deal.
