Former Queen of the South player Dapo Mebude has undergone “successful surgery” after a car crash in Belgium at the weekend.
Mebude, who signed for Belgian club KV Oostende in 2022, had to be cut free from the wreckage of his vehicle following the incident at 9am on Sunday.
The crash happened as he was heading to a training session at his club. Dapo suffered serious injuries and Oostende reported that he had undergone surgery.
A club statement said: “Dapo Mebude underwent successful surgery after his accident. Tomorrow we will get more information about his situation.
