Former 'New Restaurant of the Year' finalist Station Hotel has unveiled their brand relaunch, including their fully refurbished new restaurant, a new menu, and much more besides - and now Daily Record readers are getting a sneak peek into what they can expect.

Nestled in the Lanarkshire countryside, on the main train line between Edinburgh and Glasgow, Station Hotel has been an institution in Shotts for over two decades.The beautiful stone building which houses the bar, restaurant and bedrooms is older still; having stood in the town for at least 100 years.The family-run business - which has previously made it to the final three at the Dram Critics Choice Award in the ‘New Restaurant of the Year’ category - are always looking for ways to both honour their history and heritage while pushing for innovation.This drive to keep improving, through transformation and reinvention, was one of the driving factors behind the recent renovation of their restaurant, which combines a cosy, traditional atmosphere with a modern, fine dining twist.There’s more than just an aesthetic change to the restaurant interior however; the brand new menu seeks to surprise and delight locals and new visitors alike.

While the old classics and firm favourites are still making an appearance, the updated menu also boasts delicious new dishes, delivered by a new team of chefs looking to bring their passion and flair to every meal.

Between them, head chef Kevin and sous chefs John and Guiseppe have many years of culinary experience, working in prestigious establishments across Scotland.Kevin in particular worked for over a decade prior at the well-known Barolo Bar and Grill, located in Glagow.
