But more often than not when we're ordering, the person behind the till will dash all our hopes and dreams by informing us that the ice cream machine is broken.
Sad times. However, it turns out that this isn't actually the case, reports Liverpool Echo. An ex-Mcdonald's employee has shared a staff secret about why you weren't able to get a McFlurry or a milkshake at that time.
According to the former worker, the machines aren't usually broken, the staff probably just can't be bothered to clean them.
