Former Manchester United striker Mame Biram Diouf became the hero as he helped his side to victory in a penalty shootout – but not in the way he would have expected.
The ex-Stoke City man, who spent two-and-a-half years at Old Trafford after signing from Molde in 2009, now plies his trade in Turkey with Super Lig side Hatayspor having left England last year.
He was in action as they came up against Eyupspor in the Turkish Cup, with the game going to penalties after it finished 1-1 in regular time, with neither side able to find a winner in extra time.
Hatayspor went into the shootout severely hampered though, having had goalkeeper Abdullah Yigiter sent off in stoppage time at the end of normal time, before back-up stopper Yavuz Bugra Boyar
