Journalist Jackie Brambles will return to her radio roots with a new show broadcast across Ayrshire.The former Ayr Academy pupil, who began her career on the wireless at West Sound, will make a comeback to a commercial station for the first time in 27 years.

She is joining the presenting line-up on West Sound and its sister stations across the Greatest Hits Radio network. The Evening Show with Jackie Brambles will air every Monday to Thursday from 7pm to 10pm and also be broadcast on Greatest Hits Radio across England and Wales.Jackie, who kicked off her career at West Sound's old Holmston Road studio, went on to Capital FM and then BBC Radio 1 – where she rose to fame as the station’s first female presenter with a daytime show.She also hit
