Former Coronation Street star Nicholas Cochrane says he is dying for his character to return to the show or be killed of for good.
Nicholas played Andy McDonald, brother of Steve and son of Liz and Jim, for eight years until 1997. He has since come back for cameos at key moments, such as when Steve (played by Simon Gregson) got married.
But now he wants a full-time return with meaty stories or to leave with a bang, to “put a line under” his role ahead of Corrie’s 60th anniversary in December.
