Former BBC presenter and columnist Giles Coren announces he has cancer

Food critic, presenter and columnist Giles Coren has announced he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. The journalist shared the news on Friday in a column in the Times, the Mirror reported.

He said he had learned of his diagnosis at 9:30am on Wednesday (January 29). Coren shared that he first got tested a few years ago after taking notice of the huge issue when celebrities Stephen Fry and Bill Turnbull both announced their diagnoses.

His doctor told him his prostate cancer is a 'slow cancer' which 'all men get' if they live a long time. He was sent for an MRI scan but refused a biopsy when the result came back inconclusive.
