Elizabeth II (Elizabeth Alexandra Mary; born 21 April 1926) is Queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms. Elizabeth was born in London, the first child of the Duke and Duchess of York, later King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, and she was educated privately at home. Her father ascended the throne on the abdication of his brother King Edward VIII in 1936, from which time she was the heir presumptive. She began to undertake public duties during the Second World War, serving in the Auxiliary Territorial Service. In 1947, she married Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, a former prince of Greece and Denmark, with whom she has four children: Charles, Prince of Wales; Anne, Princess Royal; Prince Andrew, Duke of York; and Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.

Former Aberdeen star Kevin Rutkiewicz expects 'derby-like' game for East Kilbride at Deveronvale as hosts 'aren't fond of Central Belt sides'

East Kilbride boss Kevin Rutkiewicz expects their Scottish Cup clash with Deveronvale to be played like a derby match - because their hosts don't care much for sides from the Central Belt.The former Aberdeen defender says he is speaking from experience having spent seven years with the Pittodrie side and faced Deveronvale a couple of times during his stint up north in the Aberdeenshire Cup.And the 42-year-old, who made more than 50 appearances for the Dons, believes Deveronvale will be pumped up to claim a cup scalp over Kilby in the first round tie at Princes Royal Park on Saturday.He explained: “I spent seven years of my life in Aberdeen – and I don’t mean to offend Aberdonians here – but they don’t like Central Belt Glaswegians when it comes to football.“It takes a lot for us to win them over when we play for their teams, so they don’t hold a great affinity."I know it will be like a derby for them and we need to approach it like that.“It’s about going up there with the right attitude and if we perform to the best of our abilities, I think we’ll have a good chance."At this moment in time, they probably aren’t as strong as they once were.
