Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield, both riding high on a wave of recent successes, have teamed up for the romantic drama We Live in Time, which hits cinemas today, Wednesday, 1 January.
The film delves into the lives of their characters across three different timelines, charting their journey through marriage, children, illness, and other life challenges, as they remain united in adversity.
Pugh portrays Almut Bruhl while Garfield takes on the role of Tobias Durand, with the narrative following their characters as they meet under extraordinary circumstances, sparking an undeniable bond.
In anticipation of the film's release, Pugh shared her thoughts during an interview on Q with Tom Power. She said: "It was an absolute pleasure making this movie and actually I didn't care to see it. "When we were done, I was so happy with the experience, I was so grateful and I was so gorgeously in love with what we had made that I was like, 'I don't need to see the end result'." Pugh added, "This was enough, this was the gift and as it happens, I'm now proud of the result.
