Floral tributes have been left at the scene of a fatal crash in Stockport. The victim, named locally as Nick, had been driving a white Audi on Dean Moor Road in Hazel Grove before it smashed into a tree and caught fire.
Police were responding to an incident in the area when they came across the crash at 2.20am on Friday 22 May. The driver was taken to hospital but sadly died a few hours later.
Following the tragedy, his friends and family covered the scene of the crash with floral tributes and football memorabilia. Several Manchester City football shirts, scarves and bouquets of flowers with messages were left near a tree stump.
