The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) has issued 15 flood warnings and nine flood alerts across mainly western and northern parts of the country.Experts say that there is a risk of flooding to low lying lands and roads following heavy rain showers over the past couple of days.And the Met Office is anticipating more downpours to hit the country, as a yellow weather warning remains in place.
The rain warning, which has been in place since 6pm on Sunday evening, is expected to last until 9am on Wednesday - with the likes of the Highlands, Argyll and Bute and Perth and Kinross affected.
Forecasters say that there is a potential for as much as 250mm of rain to have fallen on these areas by the time the weather warning.
