The long-awaited five-star hotel Forty-Seven, on Peter Street, will open this summer, it’s been confirmed. It will sit in the Grade II-listed former shipping warehouse Lancaster House, and promises some of the most extravagant suites in the city, according to its owners.
The boutique hotel, which is owned by the same people behind the Velvet hotel on Canal Street, will have 32 rooms, including various ‘signature’ and duplex suites featuring bold designs.
New manager Ryan Thompson said he wants to deliver intelligent luxury for those who appreciate both statement and style while they eat, sleep, drink and enjoy time in the heart of the city’.
Not only that, it’ll be throwing open the doors to Asha’s restaurant, which will reopen on the ground floor. Asha’s, co-owned by Bollywood singer Asha Bhosle and which has previously appeared in the Michelin Guide, will also provide room service to the rooms in the hotel, as well as being the ‘heart and soul’ of the hotel.
