Five people were left hurt after a police chase with a 'suspicious' car ended in a crash in Bolton. Officers first spotted the Skoda in the Bury Road area at around 8.30pm last night (Sunday, March 10).
Police pursued the car onto the A666 St Peter's Way, where it then drove onto the wrong side of the carriageway from the slip road.
The Skoda then smashed into a BMW. Paramedics raced to the scene and five people - three people from the Skoda and two from the BMW - were treated. The incident has been referred to the police watchdog - the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC). After the smash, a stretch of the A666 was cordoned off for hours on Sunday evening and into Monday morning.
