Five arrested after 'violence and disorder' at Dunfermline v Falkirk clash

Five people have been arrested following 'disorder and violence' at Dunfermline's clash against Falkirk last night.Ugly scenes were witnessed in the stands and in the streets surrounding East End Park as the two rivals faced off in the Scottish Championship.

Minor disorder also spilled into Dunfermline city centre.Police arrested five males, aged 16, 18, 20, 21 and 25. Two teenage boys aged 14 were charged with possession of pyrotechnics.

A 26-year-old man was charged in connection with urinating in the street.Officers branded the disorder as "unacceptable" and said they will work with both clubs as part of their probe.Chief Inspector Kathryn Fairfield said: “Five arrests have been made following disorder at the Dunfermline versus Falkirk football match on Friday, 27 December, 2024.“Incidents of disorder and violence happened during the match and adjacent to the stadium.
