A new mum with a baby bump so big doctors thought she was having twins has given birth to a 13lb newborn. First-time mum Amber Cumberland, 21, spent 24 hours in labour before finally giving birth to her daughter Emilia on April 16, weighing in at a whopping 12lb 14oz.

The baby weighs so much she is officially the second biggest newborn in the UK after a record breaker at 14lbs 4oz in 2012. Amber recalled how Emilia was so big that when she was born that doctors brought her in congratulating her for her "toddler".

Amber said: "Doctors thought it was twins during pregnancy because she was so big, even though we could only see one on the ultrasounds. What are your thoughts on this?
