A man who died following an alleged incident in Johnstone has been named locally. Robbie McDowall, 40, was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency services raced to McDowall Street in the town at around 1.50am on Wednesday, June 1.
A 59-year-old woman was also taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with serious injuries. Her condition has been described as stable.
A 28-year-old man has now been arrested in connection with the death and serious injury.Robbie's death has left his family and friends completely devastated.His heartbroken cousin took to Facebook to pay tribute.She said: "Can’t believe this is what it’s come to Robbie."You were the best and funniest guy ever.
