A popular landmark pub has reopened following a massive refurbishment. Previously Applewood Farm pub, on the border of Salford and Wigan in Astley, the place has been transformed into Farmhouse Kitchen Worsley, promising 'an all-new brand and carvery experience'.
While the venue is still owned by Greene King, it's received a seven-figure investment to become a new pilot restaurant, which is being referred to as 'a brand evolution of Farmhouse Inns'. Read more: Sneak peek in store as iconic toy brand arrives at The Trafford Centre As well as a new carvery counter featuring 14-hour slow roasted meats, unlimited veggies and bottomless gravy, the whole place has been modernised, with a new Kitchen Café selling 'signature cakes, freshly-baked sweet and savoury pastries, and unlimited, self-serve coffee'.
The idea is that people will come here to relax as much as eat and drink - with indoor and outdoor children's play areas and £2.99 refillable brews for customers to stay as long as they want.
You can get a cuppa and a pastry for £4.99 and a mid week carvery from £6.49. Breakfast is served until 11am, with a standard English breakfast costing £7.99 for adults and £5.99 for kids.
