First Dates fans say show's 'run by Ant and Dec' as pregnant woman meets One Direction fan

As another exciting edition of First Dates got underway on Tuesday evening (13 February), fans at home tuned in to a Valentine’s special of the popular Channel 4 dating show, with a new batch of singles hoping to find a lasting connection.

But just moments into the show, viewers at home were shocked by one of the contestants taking part, Macy, after it was revealed she was currently 33 weeks pregnant and due to give birth in just seven weeks' time.

In her pre-date interview, Macy revealed that she was seeking love now, because “your life changes drastically when you have a baby, and I want to meet someone while it’s still just me.” She did however also admit that this wasn’t always easy as: “Some men are turned off by the fact I’m pregnant, which is perfectly understandable.

And then there’s men who find me being pregnant… a fetish.” The heavily pregnant singleton was paired with support worker Colby on the show, and despite the waiting staff admitting that it was a “make or break” situation, sparks did appear to fly between the pair as they happily chatted away and got to know each other, with one key detail emerging that Colby was a big One Direction fan!
