Four months on from when work began, First Bus has completed a refurbishment of its Rochdale depot worth three quarters of a million pounds.
The company began operating Bee Network services across Bury and Rochdale at the end of March, now encompassing more than 30 routes, six school services and a 65-strong fleet of buses, with potential to expand this to 90.
First had lost its Oldham depot, staff and services to Stagecoach as part of phase 2 of the Bee Network –at the same time as its acquisition of the Rochdale franchise.
It began operating out of its new depot on Corporation Street in January, previously having been home to Transdev which ran Rosso Buses, itself sold to TGfM some months prior.
