EXCLUSIVE: Twenty years ago, the FDNY (New York Fire Department) suffered one of the darkest days in its history with multiple deaths across different incidents.
It was known as Black Sunday. This tragedy is being commemorated with a new feature documentary from former MLB star Eric Hosmer, Australian filmmaker Shane Abbess (The Beast in Me) and director Luke Wheatley (Grounded).
It also comes as firefighters have played a central, and inspiring role, in the wildfires that have ravaged Los Angeles over the last two weeks.
Black Sunday tells the story of a group of New York City firefighters who faced one of the most devastating events for the FDNY since September 11.
