North Ayrshire after a hearse burst into flames this afternoon.Emergency services scrambled to Glencairn Street in Stevenston after a report of the vehicle, which is used for taking coffins to a funeral, on fire.The road was closed near the JET petrol station while the fire brigade tackled the flames at around 4pm.It's not yet clear if there was a coffin inside the hearse at the time of the blaze.It's not believed anyone was injured as a result of the fire and the road has now reopened.A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokesperson told the Record: "We attended at Glencairn Street in Stevenston after reports of a hearse on fire."We got a report at 3.51pm."We sent an appliance and it's all been dealt with."A Police Scotland spokesperson said:.
