A forensic expert told a court the fingerprints of US rape suspect Nicholas Rossi taken in Scotland were “identical” to those held by authorities in America.
Rossi, 35, was brought to court in chains for the first day of his extradition hearing at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.
Rossi, who fled his homeland to escape an array of alleged offences, claims he is actually a man called Arthur Knight. But Lisa Davidson, a ten print identification officer with Police Scotland, found no differences between the sets of fingerprints she examined.
Earlier two cops testified how they took prints from Rossi in the capital's Saughton Prison where he is being held after being denied bail.
