The final picture of Scots serial killer Peter Tobin shows the evil murderer handcuffed to a hospital bed before his death. The monster, who had cancer, died at the age of 76 today.

He had been serving a life sentence at HMP Edinburgh for the cruel killings of Angelika Kluk, Vicky Hamilton and Dinah McNicol.Tobin, originally from Johnstone in Renfrewshire, was pictured for the final time last month chained to his bed at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh after falling and breaking his hip.We reported the notorious killer was refusing food and medication whilst in hospital.

Tobin is suspected of dozens of other killings and these families begged him to come clean about his victims before he died.Speaking at the time the image was taken, Nicola Stork, whose teenage sister Louise Kay disappeared from Eastbourne in 1988 and is strongly believed to be another of Tobin’s victims, said: “I don’t want Tobin to die because it means we might never know but I’ve got no sympathy if he’s in pain.“If he dies without giving us information about Louise, then it probably means we’ll never know what happened to her or where she is.“I hope he will confess something or the police can go and speak to him to get it out of him.And the elderly parents of art student Jessie Earl, 22, whose body was found in 1989 after she went missing in 1980, believe Tobin is their daughter’s killer. His death is not being treated as suspicious.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "At 6.04am on Saturday, October 8, 2022, officers attended at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh following the death of a 76-year-old man.“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”Don't miss the latest news from around Scotland
