The couple had been together for about six years.They were onboard the Explorer of the Seas for an ’80s-themed cruise where Faster Pussycat was performing alongside groups like Men at Work, Squeeze and Tiffany.The incident happened on the first day of the seven-day voyage, about 20 miles out to sea after it departed from Miami.Burch had been drinking on the cruise, according to her mother, who said that was out of character for her.The grieving mother also told TMZ she doesn’t think her daughter would have hurt herself and had been excited to go on the cruise.Search efforts involving helicopters were called off after no sign of Burch turned up.“Our crew immediately launched a search and rescue effort, is working with local authorities, and we are providing support and assistance to the guest’s family during this difficult time,” the US Coast Guard told the outlet..
