Never mind white Christmas, it looks like we could be set for a white Halloween.The news comes as the Met Office shared that there will be snowy weather in parts of the country in October.

Brrr! The snow is likely to happen as October moves in to November and then it will start to get colder.The snow is likely to fall over the Scottish mountains and on higher grand in Wales and England.

The long-term forecast states: "Moving forward, wider dry spells are likely across the country, with the risk of overnight fog which will clear by day. "Through this period temperatures will remain near or above.
