Father John Misty has shared a new song ‘I Guess Time Just Makes Fools Of Us All’ and has hinted at an upcoming compilation album.The singer-songwriter – real name Josh Tillman – sent a text to fans on his mailing list today (July 13) with a link to the song and a cryptic tease of something more to come shortly.The message reads: “Hey, it’s Josh.

Here’s a new one – “I Guess Time Just Makes Fools Of Us All”.”“It’s on the record coming out later this year (DON’T TELL ANYONE), but when the idea of doing a compilation/Greatish [sic] Hits thing came up we were definitely missing a 10 minute funk song to summarize what a deluded and triumphant experience this whole thing’s been so far.”“It doesn’t exactly scream “single” or anything,” he added, “but just wanted you to hear it.”Tillman performed the song live a number of times in 2019 and then again at a handful of 2023 shows.
