The Zambian was a standout for the Light Blues in the game and he went down under a Carl Starfelt challenge with captain James Tavernier converting the resulting spot kick for his 100th career goal.
However, it has been debated whether Celtic’s Swedish defender made any contact with the striker and the image of smiling Sakala is sure to add to the anger of Hoops legions who believe he went down too easily before John Beaton pointed to the spot.
Rangers strike legend Kris Boyd said on Sky Sports that he didn’t believe it was a penalty and that Sakala actually stood on Starfelt.
