A north west shortlist of the best farm shops and delis has been announced this week. The Cheshire Smokehouse in Morley Green near Wilmslow is known for its array of fresh local produce, and has been shortlisted as best regional farm shop for the north west at the upcoming Farm Shop and Deli Retailer Awards.
Meanwhile Chorlton Cheesemongers gets the nod in the small shop category for the region. Based on Wilbraham Road in Chorlton, it's no stranger to winning awards having claimed food and drink retailer of the year at the 2022 Manchester Food and Drink Festival Awards and has customers regularly queuing out the door. It has been a mainstay of Wilmslow life for the past 30 years, although the much-loved cafe on the site has never reopened following the forced closure through the pandemic.
