Game Of Thrones author George R. R. Martin has been mocked by fellow fantasy author Larry Correia in his new book Heart Of The Mountain, making fun of the time Martin has taken to complete the final books in his best-selling series.A post online has revealed the dedication for Heart Of The Mountain, the latest in his Saga Of The Forgotten Warrior series, reads: “To George R.
R. Martin. See? It’s not that hard”. The pair have had run-ins before, clashing over their opinions regarding voting in the Hugo book awards, which Martin wrote about in a 2015 blog post.Correia’s lighthearted jab reflects the attention surrounding the ending of Martin’s A Song of Ice And Fire book series, renamed Game of Thrones when it was adapted into a hit HBO drama.
The last book published, A Dance With Dragons, was released in 2011, just as the TV show was gaining momentum.Since then, two more books have been promised, although little progress has been reported.
The show had to complete its run with an original ending in 2019, slowly deviating from the source material from season four.
