'Fantastic and fun-loving' dad dies days after being declared cancer free

A "fantastic" and "fun-loving" dad died just days after doctors gave him the all-clear from his cancer diagnosis. Dean Mollard, who died aged 33, was diagnosed with testicular cancer at the age of 23, before later being diagnosed with prostate cancer.

He spent nearly 10 years in and out of treatment battling the disease, before being given the amazing news that he was cancer free on May 12, 2021, reports the Liverpool Echo.

But tragically, Dean died just eight days later, following an unexpected rupture of the aortic valve - which according to the British Heart Foundation, can stop blood being pumped around the body. she promised him 'I won't make a noise' Paying tribute, wife Sam said that Dean was a "fantastic" dad who "had so many friends" and would "go out of his way to help anyone". "He wasn't just my husband, he was my best friend, my left arm.
