The grieving family of a gran who is alleged to have murdered her husband days after Christmas wept as she appeared in court.
Teresa Hanson, 53, from of West Cowick appeared in court today, December 31, charged with murdering Paul Hanson, 54, in East Yorkshire on December 28.He died of an alleged stab wound just days after the family all sat down together for Christmas dinner.
Mrs Hanson appeared at Hull Magistrates’ Court, but only spoke to confirm her name and date of birth.The pair were married for 34 years before the alleged incident.
Mrs Hanson appeared at court wearing a grey tracksuit and was watched by family members looking on from the public gallery, who were heard crying in the background.She was remanded in custody and will appear at Hull Crown Court on January 3 with the case being fast-tracked under a new system.
