The family of a woman at the centre of a murder investigation in Blackpool have paid tribute to her. Alison Dodds, 51, was found dead at a flat on Redcar Road on Thursday morning.
A post mortem found she died as a result of 'multiple serious injuries'. In a statement issued through Lancs Police Ms Dodds' family said: "We are shook up and upset that Alison has died in this way, it is not the way she should have gone and we all love her and miss her." Police have today charged a man with her murder.
Alex Hindley, 35, of Redcar Road, Blackpool, has been remanded into custody to appear at Blackpool magistrates court on Tuesday morning.
