Newtongrange last night have described him as a "much loved son" who was "kind" and "bright". Police tonight confirmed that Roderick (Roddy) Georgeson died in a garden on Lingerwood Road following an incident just before 9pm on Saturday night.
Emergency services raced to the property around 8.50pm last night amid a major emergency response but sadly Roddy could not be saved and he passed away at the scene.
In a statement his family said: “Roddy was a much loved son, who was kind, bright and a friend to all who met him.”Locals last night told of their fear after being ordered to stay indoors by cops as officers saped off the street.Police helicopters also circled the area.A 48-year-old man has now been arrested and charged in connection with.
