The family of a child that survived the Taylor Swift dance class attack in Southport on Tuesday have broken their silence on the tragedy and shared details on how the 'killer' was caught.

In an update on social media, a parent whose identity remains undisclosed wrote: "We've received a lot of messages in the last 24hrs, sorry I couldn't reply to everyone but I'm sure you understand why.

Thank you for your kindness and support, it means a lot." They continued to say that their seven-year-old daughter Teddy was at the Taylor Swift dance class on Monday, where a knifeman attacked children leaving three young girls dead, reports the Mirror.
