Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

The heartbroken family of a Royal Navy veteran who was killed by a stock car racer who had been drinking before the crash have slammed his 'unjust' sentence.Marc Fortune, 28, was jailed for six years at the High Court in Glasgow today after killing John King on the A92 between Lochgelly and Cowdenbeath in Fife.

Fortune had been behind the wheel of his 4x4 pick up when he ploughed into the back of a Vauxhall Meriva driven by the grandfather on September 12, 2020.The 63 year-old's car was forced off the road and ended up spinning down an embankment.

John - who had served in the Royal Navy for 25 years - suffered from a heart attack at the wheel and never survived the crash.

John's devastated family say their grief is still as raw as the day they found out about his death as they branded the killer's sentence as "disappointing".
