Family devastated by mum's death just hours after she complained of dry throat

A family have been left devastated by the sudden death of a mum just hours after she began to complain of a dry throat and extreme thirst.

Mum-of-two Smitha Patil tragically passed away in hospital on the morning of October 9 shortly after she took herself to A&E in the middle of the night.

The 37-year-old, from Solihull, West Midlands, had only started to feel unwell the evening before but in the 90 minutes it took her husband to drop their sons at a friend's house, Smitha's condition took a turn for the worse, reports Birmingham Live.She began vomiting in the waiting area of Heartlands Hospital and collapsed.By the time her partner had returned to her at approximately 6:30am, Smitha had sadly died.Family friend Phani Krishna Pamarthy
