Army cadet instructor has been booted out of Legion Scotland over bogus claims he is a forces veteran.Eric Wicks, who has never been a soldier, has been banned by the national organisation after members raised concerns over his military service boasts.When approached by the Sunday Mail, Wicks – who was snapped wearing an HM Forces veterans badge which he didn’t earn – admitted he never served but claimed he was the victim of a vendetta.The Army Cadet Force, which Wicks was in for seven years, is sponsored by the British Army but members and volunteers are not called up or required to serve in any other military service.Wicks, 54, of East Calder, said: “I was in the Queen’s Own Highlanders army cadet force in the 1980s."I’ve been banned from.
