Facebook confirmed it is working on fixing problems with its newsfeed after users complained about feeds overrun by posts from strangers directed at celebrity accounts.
The glitch has led to more than 2,500 complaints on Downdetector when users began reporting the issue around 6:30am on Wednesday morning.

We're working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible and we apologise for any inconvenience," said a spokesperson for Meta, Facebook's parent company.
