An eyewitness who spotted Dominic Cummings out and about in County Durham says he feels vindicated after the top aide admitted he had travelled to the region.
Robin Lees, a retired Chemistry teacher from County Durham, said thought he had spotted Mr Cummings near his home. He told BBC Radio Newcastle: "Just by what he looks like in the press, I had obviously seen him. "You know, I take an interest in the news, I look at the BBC website every day, that sort of thing. "I take an interesting in politics, also, so I know what he looks like, and this person did look strikingly like him.
