He said: “Ventilation is essential in preventing wood rot in sheds as it controls moisture, which is a primary cause of wood rot, however, it often gets overlooked. "Proper airflow removes excess moisture from the air and wood structure, reducing the build-up of dampness that promotes fungal growth.
It also helps prevent condensation, which can form on interior surfaces in cooler or humid conditions, leading to damp wood and increasing the risk of rot. "By promoting continuous air circulation, ventilation keeps the shed dry and prevents the environment from becoming too humid.
