Get the stories that interest you straight to your inbox every day with our personalised newsletterA washed-up swordfish has amazed walkers on Ayr beach.The carcass was beached right opposite the kids’ playpark on the seafront.This rare beauty from the deep has a three-foot long bill, which it uses to slash prey.It was discovered by Ewan Robertson while he was out walking with his retriever Molly.Much of the body of the fish was missing.Ewan revealed: “Molly was rolling in it of course - a first for her and me.“It was extraordinary to see and could only be one thing.“I was so surprised to see it in our waters.“It is incredible too see such a size of fish with a spine that big.”Ewan reckons global warming may attract more to Scottish.
