Storm Dudley is on the way as Scots brace for gale force winds form this afternoon. The Met Office has issued a number of weather warnings as gusts of up to 90MPH are set to hit the country from 4PM today.
A 'danger to life' warning is in place for a large stretch of Scotland, with more yellow weather warnings set for today and later in the week.
Storm Dudley is sweeping in from the Atlantic with conditions already pretty unsettled this morning - reports The Mirror.Winds are set to become "very strong and disruptive" as we head into this afternoon and continue to create chaos throughout tonight with an amber warning in place for parts.
There is a possibility of widespread travel chaos including a "good chance" of power cuts and disruption to transport services as Scotrail have already cancelled services from 4PM.
