A former Wishaw high school pupil who turned his back on touring the world as a musician with superstar Calvin Harris is raising money for St Andrew’s Hospice.David Devine, 40, from Carluke, who was a pupil at St Aidan’s High, decided he would rather be pulling teeth and gave up the professional world of music to become a dentist.The former guitarist with Calvin Harris’ band has returned to his musical roots and is bringing musicians together for Rock the Hospice.He said: “The idea behind the campaign is that people will record themselves performing a song, post it on our Facebook group, nominate people to take part and then donate what they can on our Just Giving page.”The Lanarkshire hospice holds a special place in David’s heart.
