Ex-Wigan Athletic boss among early favourites for Sunderland job after Phil Parkinson sacked

But ex-Latics boss Cook, who left his post as Wigan manager at the end of July, is third on the list at present with odds of 4/1.
He is closely followed in the standings by ex-Watford and Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson at 6/1. Outsiders for the job include former Bolton assistant manager David Flitcroft at 16/1 and ex- Salford City boss Graham Alexander at 25/1.
