Retired Bolton Wanderers defender Gretar Steinsson has moved to Tottenham Hotspur to take on a new backroom role, according to reports.
The 40-year-old joined Wanderers in 2008 from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar. He went on to make 138 appearances for the club and scored six goals.
The defender departed the club in the summer of 2012 after he was not offered fresh terms. It coincided with the club being relegated from the Premier League. He departed the club by mutual consent in the summer of 2013 and retired from playing not long after. Since then, the ex-defender has held positions off the pitch at football clubs.
