Ewan McGregor celebrated a huge milestone in his career today when he was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.The Emmy award-winning actor beamed alongside his family as he received the accolade on Hollywood Boulevard, next to the El Capitan Theatre.The big-screen legend was seen kissing his wife, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, while standing above the star.
And the couple were joined by their son Laurie, as well as three of McGregor's daughters Clara, Jamyan, and Anouk as they smiled beside the accolade.Known to millions as Jedi master Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Perth native was honoured with the 2,789th star on the iconic Walk of Fame.McGregor, who first shot to stardom in the role of heroin addict Mark Renton in Danny Boyle's Trainspotting, beamed alongside his Star Wars co-star, Canadian actor Hayden Christensen.The pair remain close friends after working side-by-side on two Star Wars prequels, with McGregor's Kenobi the mentor to Christensen's Anakin Skywalker.
The pair faced off in an epic lightsaber battle in Revenge of the Sith after Skywalker turned to the Dark Side of the Force.Christensen was a guest speaker at the Los Angeles event alongside filmmaker Mike Mills.
