An All Stars edition of ITV’s Love Island is reportedly in development - and some of the biggest names in the show’s history are thought to be interested.
It’s been claimed that the broadcaster is set to invite some of the show’s most iconic heroes and villains back for another go at finding love in the villa.
After the show brought back series four star Adam Collard as a bombshell for series eight and two former Aussie contestants entered the UK villa in South Africa for the 2023 winter series, which is still underway and has just been rocked by the infamous Casa Amor, the rumour mill has gone into overdrive. The Sun said they’ve spoken to an ITV insider who claimed, “Love Island All Stars is in development at ITV and it is a concept they have been talking about. This summer’s series marks the tenth series of the show and ITV thinks there is an appetite for the concept.” The source went on to say that the channel already has a “wishlist” of ex-islanders they’re hoping will be willing to return. The list is said to include series five star Maura Higgins, Sophie Piper, who is the younger sister of The Saturdays' Rochelle Humes, and Kady McDermott, who was just 20 when she starred on the show.
Producers are also said to be courting Kady’s ex, Scott Thomas, who she finished fourth with. Another male islander they’re thought to have their eye on is Kem Cetinay, who won the show in 2017 with his ex-girlfriend Amber Davies.
