The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show returns Tuesday night in New York City after a five-year hiatus. The annual runway show, which debuted in 1995, was cancelled in 2019 amid of series of scandals and backlash from critics who slammed the lingerie brand for lacking diversity and inclusivity.Edward Razek, the former chief marketing officer of Victoria’s Secret’s former parent company L Brands who resigned in 2019, sparked controversy in a Vogue interview when dismissing ideas of integrating inclusivity in the runway spectacular “because the show is a fantasy.”He was later accused of harassment and perpetuating a “culture of misogyny, bullying and harassment” at the company.In May, Victoria’s Secret announced that the runway show was returning and “will reflect who we are today.”“We’ve read the comments and heard you,” the brand said, adding that the 2024 show will include “the glamour, runway, wings, musical entertainment, and more!”Here’s everything you need to know about the the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2024.The show is taking place at the Victoria’s Secret flagship store in NYC on Tuesday, October 15.
